a facebook 'how to'... feature your favourite pages.

did you know that you can feature your favourite 'liked' pages on your facebook page's timeline?

your featured pages appear in the 'likes' box on the right hand side of your timeline.  up to five pages are randomly shown at a time and you can specify which of your 'liked' pages always rotate there by selecting them as featured.

your eyes are fine, it's the screen shot that is a bit blurry.... :-)

here is how it is done...

1. use facebook as your page
2. if you haven't already 'liked' the page you want to feature, visit that page and click 'like' 
3. return to your page and open the admin panel
4. click manage
5. select edit page
6. select featured from the left sidebar menu
7. click edit featured likes
8. choose pages you'd like to feature
9. click save

voila!

useful...?  i'm interested to know if you'd take the time to manage this feature or not so please let me know.  i'm thinking of pick 5 every fortnight, better go set a reminder....

Update 18 June 2012:  this process has changed slightly, here is the new how to instructions.


1. use facebook as your page
2. if you haven't already 'liked' the page you want to feature, visit that page and click 'like' 
3. return to your page and show the admin panel
4. click arrow next to edit page 
5. select update info
6. select featured from the left sidebar menu
7. click edit featured likes
8. choose pages you'd like to feature
9. click save
